So what’s this church like?
Meeting new people can make any person feel uncomfortable, and going to a new church for the first time can be downright nerve-wracking.
We want to make sure your first experience at EBC is a great one, so we’ll do our best to make you feel “right at home” from the moment you walk in the door.
It also helps if you know what you can expect, so for starters this short video will give you a brief idea of who we are and what we’re all about at EBC.
Here’s what you can expect at EBC.
Come as you are.
We’re an informal and friendly church that accepts people the way they are.
There is no dress code. Some people show up in suits and ties, some wear jeans and polo shirts. The bottom line is: wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Bring the kids.
Our nursery is for children up to the age of 24 months. Elevate Kids and Elevate Youth programs are available for children from 2 years old through high school. You can get more information by clicking either of those links.
Every week they’ll learn about God in a loving, nurturing environment with content designed especially for them.
Oh, and by the way, every one of our Elevate volunteers has passed an extensive background screening.
You can feel safe here.
The safety and security of every child is a top priority, so we utilize a state-of-the-art check-in and security system.
After you register your children, one of our team will be happy to help you find their room. So while you’re enjoying the service, they’ll be having a great experience of their own.
And on the subject of safety, the fact is, everyone’s safety is of the utmost importance to us.
Led by a veteran Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy, our trained (but discreet) security team is always in place for the duration of our services.
What’s the service like?
Our “main” 10:45 AM Sunday service meets in the auditorium and typically runs until 12 noon. Right now, as we’re transitioning “back to normal,” we’re having two services—one at 9:00 AM and one at 11:00 AM.
Our auditorium has been re-arranged with a smaller seating capacity and is properly and safely “social distanced.” We thoroughly disinfect all surfaces, (chairs, door handles, etc.), after each service. And, for now, we’re also live streaming the 11:00 AM service on our Facebook page.
Starting with uplifting music and congregational singing, song lyrics are projected on two high-definition screen arrays, but if you feel more at home with a song book, we have those, too.
We also frequently open our service with a short video. On any given week, the subject matter can range from emotionally inspirational to laugh-out-loud funny.
The “main event” is a relevant, engaging, Biblically-based message from our Pastor. You can listen to a message from our current series by clicking or tapping here.
Come visit us this Sunday
When you visit us at EBC, you can expect to be welcomed into a friendly, positive environment by people who are genuinely happy to meet you.
Our hope is that your visit will not be your last; meaning, we invite you to come just as you are and “plug in” to our community of people who are striving together to connect to everything God has for us.
