Children's Ministries

"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come to me:
for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
—Matthew 19:14

Children and children's ministries have a special place at EBC. Our Children's Sunday School and Children's Church ministries are devoted to developing sound Biblical foundations for our precious children.

Children's Sunday School

EBC's Children's Sunday School classes are based on a solid, structured format combined with lots of personal, caring attention for each child. Your child will hear Bible stories, sing songs, and make crafts, while being instructed to respect their parents and others, and most important, while learning how to enter into a saving relationship with Jesus.

Children's Sunday School class time mirrors Adult Sunday School class time, beginning at 9:30 am.

Children's Church

EBC's Children's Church classes take the Biblical truths introduced during the Children's Sunday School time and, through age-appropriate stories and illustrations, help your children understand how to apply those God-given truths in their young lives. Children's Church times mirror our adult morning service times, beginning at 10:45 am.

King's Kids Club

King's Kids Club is a dynamic outreach for boys and girls from age 3 through 6th grade, with an emphasis on Bible memory within the context of doctrine and character building. Our King's Kids program targets four basic areas that are both exciting and educational:

• Bible principles and lessons that apply to children
• Personal interaction through small groups
• Daily devotionals provided for each child every week
• Scripture memory

A typical King's Kids Club evening is balanced between Bible memory time, preaching time, and a game time. The curriculum is self-paced and consists of six books and three electives (Music, Missions, and Creation Science). Each level of accomplishment is tied to an award system which serves to motivate kids to continue.

King's Kids Club at EBC is at 6:30 pm on Wednesday evenings. We invite you to join us as we strive to teach your children the basics to having a relationship with Jesus. Questions? Call Pastor Curtis at 219-996-3737.

Youth Ministry

Come and be a part of EBC's dynamic and growing Youth Ministry—for 6th through 12th graders

Sunday mornings: Students and leaders meet at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings for a time to discover truth and find direction in their daily lives through the Bible.

Wednesday evenings: Have you ever given thought to the question, "What is my purpose?" Do you find yourself struggling to fill your life with meaning, yet are always left feeling empty and alone?

Our Wednesday nights, starting at 6:30 pm, are designed to not only provide purpose for your life through the study of the Word, but also enable you to connect with friends and family to help support you as you seek a meaningful relationship with God.

Join your friends and ministry leaders as we study practical truths from the Bible, and come find the purpose you've been searching for in your life. Questions? Call Pastor Curtis at 219-996-3737.

Bus Ministry

The Bus Ministry is one of the most effective ways to put the "Go!" into the Great Commission—a practical application of reaching every man, woman, and child within our community. Today, we have three buses offering free rides to and from Sunday School and church each Sunday to people who do not have automobiles or cannot afford the gas.

In addition, the buses are used as evangelistic instruments in the hand of God to reach entire neighborhoods for Jesus Christ. In Luke 19:10 we find "the Son of Man is come to seek and save that which was lost." In John 20:21 Jesus said, "As my Father hath sent me, even so send I you."

It is our conviction at EBC that the bus ministry is the local missionary outreach ministry of our Church, which sole purpose is to win as many souls to Christ as possible.

Upward Children's Basketball League

An Upward Basketball sports experience is fun for the entire family. EBC's Upward kids basketball programs:

• Teach sports skills and values and allow kids to make new friends

• Offer family-friendly schedules

• Provide equal playing time for each child

Throughout the season, your child will explore and discover their love of the sport by playing half of every game. Every child will be individually recognized at each game, and will find positive role models in coaches and other Upward volunteers.

Want more information? Call Pastor Curtis Gordon at 219-996-3737.

Vacation Bible School • Mega Sports Camp

MEGA Sports Camp is a church-led outreach that uses sports to intoduce elementary kids (grades 1 through 6) to Jesus and help them develop godly character.

Kids sing high-action songs, hear interactive Bible stories, and see cool object lessons, then join their Huddle Coaches to reinforce the day's theme and help make the day's biblical truths take hold in their hearts.

Why do kids like it? Because it's fun! Kids don't just sit and listen to someone talk about the Bible. They participate in a fun sports activity like basketball, cheerleading, or soccer, while learning biblical principles. Having fun makes learning easy.

2013 Vacation Bible School dates to be announced. For more information, call 219-996-3737.

Men's Basketball League

Calling all guys: athletes and former athletes, weekend warriors and wanna-be's. Come on out and shoot some hoops in EBC's Men's Basketball League.

Affectionately called the "old guy's league" by some (that would be the younger "hosses," of course), all adult men of any age or skill level are welcome.

Yes we're competitive—that's a guy thing, right? And yes we won last year, not that we're bragging (OK, maybe a little), but the genuine focus is on building solid "Proverbs 27 '...iron sharpens iron...'" relationships among the EBC men.

Call 219-996-3737 for more information about the EBC Men's Basketball League.
